Lithium Performance, Lead Acid Price
These GBS lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) offer outstanding performance at a rock-bottom price. Weighing in at only 25 pounds per kilowatt-hour, they fit twice the capacity as lead acid in the same volume. They can operate for thousands of cycles at 80% depth-of-discharge and have a flat voltage curve.
These packs feature a one-way safety valve to release gas and heat, and a unique compression system to maximize life. They're certified with UL1642 and UL1973 standards, and testing such as nail penetration, short circuit, over-charge/temperature/voltage, and dropping has confirmed that they won't catch fire or explode even when abused.
Pack Dimensions
Dimensions include compression housings. All dimensions are approximate, especially for the 60Ah and 100Ah packs as GBS made a few different variations. Contact us prior to purchase for exact dimensions.
- 60Ah 276x126x188 mm (LxWxH)
- 100Ah 216x128x216 mm (LxWxH)
- 200Ah 244x142x485 mm (LxWxH)
About These Packs
At Higher Wire, our goal is to turn nuisance waste back into useful assets and maximize the life of every lithium battery. We work with collection centers, OE manufacturers and end users and help them avoid the cost of handling and recycling lithium batteries.
Many of these packs were discarded because of cell imbalances or the failure of one or two cells. We perform a suite of visual and cycling tests to check the state of health of each cell independently. We then disassemble and match cells based on our proprietary grading criteria, reassembling packs per OEM specifications. That includes pressing the cells together with more than 10 tons of pressure to reattach the compression plates. All packs are charged to nominal voltage of 3.2v per cell and checked prior to leaving our facility.
All of these packs have greater than 80% of original capacity and include a limited 90 day warranty. We wire them with proper bus bars to make 12v, but they may have misthreaded or screws broken off in the terminals. They will show signs of wear or corrosion and may have slight swelling. Warranty does not cover use in higher-drain applications such as golf carts, scooters, e-bikes, EVs, or any application that regularly sees greater than 0.5C (i.e., 50 amps for a 100Ah pack).
Every cell that is not viable for continued use is properly recycled with one of our reputable partners per R2 standards. It costs a little more, but it's money well-spent to close the loop on the lithium battery supply chain.

About GBS
Established in 2007, Zhejiang GBS Energy Co., Ltd. is a high-tech manufacturer who specializes in developing and manufacturing of LiFeMnPO4 power battery packs. GBS owns a patented environmentally friendly solvent binder (which replaces “PVDF”) and creates a unique scalable battery cell design. Their product line ranges from 20Ah to 400Ah and power everything from renewables and stationary to electric bikes, scooters, golf carts, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs).
Safety
Lithium batteries can be potentially dangerous! Even when properly handled, lithium batteries may ignite or explode. It is imperative that you use quality battery management and charging systems when operating lithium batteries. All users of lithium-ion batteries MUST read the warning and safety instructions on our website before using lithium-ion batteries.
Warranty
All of these packs have greater than 80% of original capacity and come with a limited 90 day warranty. If a cell or pack fails within that window, we will replace it no questions asked. Note that the replacement may not have the same capacity as the original purchase, and may be lower capacity. Because these are Second Life, they are not covered for high-drain applications that exceed 0.5C (i.e., 50a for a 100Ah battery). High-drain applications include but are not limited to golf carts, EVs, e-bikes and scooters. See our warranty page for limitations.
