These BYD battery pack modules came from a forklift application. They are in a 9S configuration with welded bus bars, but can be easily converted to an 8S configuration by drilling a bus bar to install a nut and bolt. These have positive and negative on opposite corners of the battery, but an 8S setup would have both positive and negative ends on the same side.

These come with plastic covers to protect the bus bars from being shorted, and they are pre-wired for BMS leads. It's also easy to connect your own BMS leads to the bus bars. They even stack on one another! Contact us for a discount on multiple packs.

These are rated at 250Ah and 28.8 volts (nominal), which comes out to 7.2 kilowatt-hours. Our analysis has consistently shown that the vast majority of forklift batteries retain well over 90% of their rated capacity. There is still 6.4 kWh in an 8S configuration, which is typical for a 24v system, although many modern charge controllers and inverters are capable of the increased voltage.

Dimensions

  • Length: 24 1/4 inches
  • Width: 17 inches
  • Height: 6.5 or 10 inches
These stack on top of one another, so the bottom and middle are 10" tall due to a metal bracket on each end, while the top is 6.5" tall.

Recommended Voltages

9S (as-is):

  • Charge voltage: 32.0v
  • Low-voltage cutoff: 24.0v

8S (typical 24v configuration):

  • Charge voltage: 28.4v
  • Low-voltage cutoff: 21.3v

Battery Safety

Lithium batteries can be dangerous! Please read and understand our battery safety page. Email us at sales@higherwire.com with any questions.

Our Process

Higher Wire has developed a patent-pending process to renew lithium batteries from applications such as EVs, forklifts, golf carts and more into stationary applications for renewable energy, emergency backup, lighting, RVs, etc. Unlike the competition, we don't just do spot checks on a lot of cells. We analyze every battery to ensure they have sufficient capacity, internal resistance and voltage retention they are sold. Our promise is full transparency with regard to battery condition and performance.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee that your battery will perform well for years to come when used properly and paired with a quality battery management system (BMS). We back that up with a 90-day limited warranty.

Shipping

These weigh about 110 lb each and DO NOT QUALIFY for free shipping. Contact us for a shipping quote.

We ship the majority of our orders by the next business day. Lithium batteries may take up to two business days to process to accommodate inspection and logging into our system.

Our shipping rates are based on the weight of all ordered products plus estimated weight of packaging. We make every effort to forecast an accurate shipping cost, but cannot be 100% certain in all cases. Please contact us at sales@higherwireenergy.com with any questions prior to purchase.

We pack and label all lithium battery shipments in accordance with Federal Regulation 49CFR173.185, as well as USPS Publication 52 Hazard Class 9 or UPS/Fedex guidelines. Unless otherwise stated, lithium batteries are not eligible for free shipping.

We try to pack all items in an order in a single box, however we may on occasion need to ship items separately. Special shipping does not apply to lithium ion batteries, and orders that include batteries may not qualify for free or expedited shipping.
