These TP5100 integrated lithium-ion battery charging boards are more capable than the well-known TP4056. They're more efficient and have greater charge capability (2A vs. 1A for the TP4056). They can also be set for 2S (8.4v) charge by shorting the SET pads. We've built a few cell-string balancers from these to top balance individual strings within a battery assembly.

 

Charging current can be set between 0.1 and 2 amps by adding resistors, and a blue/red LED indicates charging status (red = charge complete, blue = charging or no cell inserted). This is a buck charger so input voltage must be greater than output. We recommend 5v input for 1S and 12v input for 2S charging.

  3. Programmable charge current. 0.1A - 2A
  4. Programmable steady precharge current 10% -100%.
  5. LED charge status indicator: red = charging, blue = no battery or fully charged
  6. Both red and blue LEDs will light up when there is a fault detected.
  7. Solder pads for external LEDs. Center pin is common.
  8. Chip temperature protection, over-current protection, under voltage protection.
  9. Battery temperature protection, reverse battery shutdown, short circuit protection.

We pack and label all lithium battery shipments in accordance with Federal Regulation 49CFR173.185, as well as USPS Publication 52 Hazard Class 9 or UPS/Fedex guidelines. Unless otherwise stated, lithium batteries are not eligible for free shipping.

We try to pack all items in an order in a single box, however we may on occasion need to ship items separately. Special shipping does not apply to lithium ion batteries, and orders that include batteries may not qualify for free or expedited shipping.
