Samsung SDI 10kWh Energy Storage System

These battery modules came from residential systems and feature Samsung SDI 94 amp-hour NMC cells. There are qty 5 packs of 6 cells in series, for a total of 30 cells in series. That's 111 volts nominal and 10.4 kilowatt-hours of capacity. And each cell is capable of 300 amps (3C) discharge, although these are limited by qty 2 125-amp fuses per pack.

The cells are laser welded with aluminum bus bars. We've already configured one pack to a 14S2P configuration (effectively eliminating two cells) to power an inverter running our analyzers. The bus bars have connectors that make connecting a BMS a breeze.

This just so happens to match perfectly with a popular EV conversion kit. If you have a Volkswagen Type 2 bus, these are an excellent and inexpensive battery.

We pack and label all lithium battery shipments in accordance with Federal Regulation 49CFR173.185, as well as USPS Publication 52 Hazard Class 9 or UPS/Fedex guidelines. Unless otherwise stated, lithium batteries are not eligible for free shipping.

We try to pack all items in an order in a single box, however we may on occasion need to ship items separately. Special shipping does not apply to lithium ion batteries, and orders that include batteries may not qualify for free or expedited shipping.
